Welcome to Yorkie Talk.

I would make sure to get an older puppy (4-6 months)who is of a decent size(over 5 lbs) and get it during your three weeks off so there is plenty of time for you spend with him/her at the beginning. During that time yu can crate train and leave the puppy for short periods at first and then gradually increase the time.

Is there any way you could get two so they could keep each other company? If not two dogs maybe a dog and a kitten? This helps a lot. You also might consider a pet service to come by for an hour halfway through the day to play with and walk the puppy. Maybe even a trainer who could start on the basics.

Welcome. I go to Lousiana twice a year when I go to Houston to visit my mom. We go to Lake Charles and of course play the slots.

Boggie, what gaming board do you run? I frequent some gaming boards and wonder if I have frequented yours. I'm always looking for new info on games even though I don't play that often. The next and last games I will buy for the ps2 will be Bully, Warriors, True Crime:New York and then on to next gen.

Me and some buddies are a part of a gaming guild that have been together for about 4 years now.

As for the yorkie, I went to the lady's house today, and .........what can i say, i fell hard!!

First of all she had her stuff together. Her husband breed great danes and they had a extra house with professionally built cages, with little doggie holes to the outside.....AMAZING!!!

She had several grown yorkies, i got to look at the Mom, Dad, Sister of the pup im getting. No history of any diseases and what not. She was very scared that im getting one , so i had to pass her little test. haha, it was great. The pups are 4 weeks old and they already use the tee tee pads and go to their crate to sleep. They are lively, playful, and CUTE. She gave me the one i bought and it fell asleep in my arms.......awwwwww.

It was really great. She will do the grooming, and help me whenever. She was a great lady.

Ok, so i got some pictures , buttttt....my wife is laying right across me on the couch so ill get them up a little later.

Ok,

My wife and i have went out and bought everything we need for your new baby. I told the breeder that i wanted to wait until the pup was 9 weeks b4 i take it, she said that was fine......

We came up with a name: Icee Blue _____ haha, cute eh.

My wife still has NO idea that we are getting her soon. She thinks it'll be about 4 more months til we find one. She is gonna go nuts when i suprise her.

We bought one of those puppy car seats, they looked pretty cool.

Anyways, just giving an update........later

Ok, i absolutely can't take it any more!!!!!! I broke, i choked, ...................I told her that we were getting it soon. It was absolutely killn me. I was loosing sleep over it, LOL!!!!

She is very happy!!!

Ive been calling about every day to check up on our baby. Katie (my wife) was so excited. I couldn't hold it in any longer, it felt like if i sneezed it was gonna be AHHhhhhhhhh CHewwwwweee geetttnnn aaa dooogggg!!!!

She is very thrilled. I will take her to see little Icee prolly this weekend.

I want her to get on YT but she is not the internet freak that i am, but we'll see

Aww congrats!!! I need to find a husband that would surprise me with a puppy!!!!!!! I can't wait to see pictures of your Icee growing up when you get her. You got like 3-4 weeks to go, so you better find something to do between that time to keep you busy. Otherwise you will be like me and spend everyday daydreaming and looking for more stuff at the pet stores.
