| Can monkey have a cold??? Shes been sneezing for a few days now....but I know that's pretty common. But right now she was laying on top of me and I noticed that her nose is RUNNING. There are visible drops on her nose. She feels a little warm but I dont know if thats just my crazy paranoia! Please help? Do dogs get the common cold? Should I take her to the vet or does this just pass in a few days? Thank you in advance for any input |

If she's still a baby and she's not eating with this cold then i would possibly consider taking her to the er. i can't see her so i can't tell you if this is necessary but puppies easily get colds which turn to pneumonia when they are very small.

| She's not a puppy....she'll be 2 in April. I'm not too conerned with the missed meal since shes a hefty 7.5 lbs and a picky eater so she has missed meals before. She waits for me to pitty her and give her something yummy! Do they give medicine for colds? Should I give her a tylenol or anything? Just closed all the windows and turned on the heat....anything else I should give her? About to go put her pj's on!!1 |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | ok so you don't have to worry about little puppy problems. missing a meal is ok for her since she's a little bigger but if she doesn't eat tomorrow then i'd start to worry. DO NOT give her tylenol. its toxic to dogs. your vet will give you medication for dogs that appropriate for her size and condition.

I'd hate to think shes cold while im at work all day... she sleeps under the covers so i know shell be nice and cozy all night. How common is this...for dogs to get colds? |

| Thank You for the caffeine heads up... i dont think i would have realized that it tea has caffeine. What about decaf? Ive given her some green tea before and she did really well with that. its kind of as a treat as an alternative to water i sometimes give her juice and stuff... but if moderation because of the sugar. Shes hyper enough lol Either way, she seems to be doing better today. Ate most of her breakfast. My apt felt like a sauna when i walked in. 85 degrees with all the windows closed but as long as shes feeling better. Thanks again |
