Animal Control is going to door to door in my neighborhood and I have 5 yorkies that are not registered

Help what do I do any suggestions? I know many of you have more then the allowed amount for your city so how do you do it?

Leave the house with all pets ???

Why are they going door to door?

What's going on....I am in California too. Hmmm any chance you can register them right away?

Have a basement?
Put the pups down there and go yourself when they approach your house.
Stay there until they leave. Can't think of anything else.

No because my city - Covina only allows 3 dogs. I already have 2 outside that I rescued and they are registered.

My friend who lives a few blocks away warned me today. She says they do this every so often.

I don't know when they will be on my block, so I wouldn't know when to hide them

Ok, do you have family or friends that would be willing to register them under their name and addy? Then 'if' they ever come by, you say they belong to so and so and you are pet sitting for a few days

there isn't a current ordinance in the city I live in, although they are talking about requiring people with more than 6 to get a kennel license.

I don't know what to tell you. I don't think we have any dumb rules like that here. You might have to move.

We don't have to register our dogs up here, but there is a three dog limit in Anchorage. Thank goodness I only have three. Do you have someone who can watch the other ones for a while?

There is an idea. You might be able to get a license.
