| What is it about a yorkie...... Hello all. I have been looking at all the pretty babies and hope to find a little love soon. I have friends that have tried to give me a pup or suggested I look into the breed that they have but it is just not a yorkie. I have had so many different breeds over the years but none of them have stolen my heart the way the independent little yorkie has. I have always been a cat person and I guess it was because of the independence they have. I am now a yorkie person and always will be. I never want to be without one again! What is it about the yorkie that you love?

| I love the breed because they are so smart, clever, challenging, have a beautiful coat and are good with children (if trained right). Perfect dog for me. Also, they do not shed! |

| I really couldn't answer that...I love all dogs(not a cat person at all), but, right now, I have 2 yorkies, a biewer, a shih tzu, a golden retriever and a german shepherd..the only kind missing that I really want is a ST Bernard.. But, these little ones do steal your heart, and if my hubby would let me, I would have more of them..I think I will always have at least one yorkie.. |

| I am also in love with the breed. Yorkies have eyes that can just melt your heart. That little cocked head, and that mischievous sparkle to those black eyes can touch me like nothing else in this world. Independence is funny in a yorkie. They have the spirit to be independent, but usually their whole world revolves around their special person. They have a capacity for love that is unequaled. If you remember the thread about the yorkie that was lost for so long, and was found in a very loving home with a truley kind gentleman named Lewis; you will recall that even though she loved the new owner very much, her heart was forever with the family that had lost her. Yorkies love forever, with out boundaries. There is a saying on here that I wish I could be the person I see in my yorkies eyes, that sums it up for me. God sent us yorkies to be a mirror into our souls.

| I was always called the Pug Girl because we had two pugs (my lic plate says 2pugzs) but since they have passed we wanted something small, compact and non shedding (son has terrible allergies)hubby and I both agree we will never have any other breed. They are so addicting!

| What is it about a Yorkie I, also have had many pets, poodles, cockapoos, maltipoos, maltese(that I dearly loved R.I.P., Kojak, he was my husbands dog and went to work with Rod everyday and several years ago he started bleeding from the penis, took him to so many Vets, even the University of MN. they could not find out what the problem was. My husband was diagonised with prostate cancer. He started treatment and during that time he called me one day to come pick up Kojak because he was bleeding a lot, took him to a different Vet and they found that he had chewed off the end of his penis. After Rod was cured, Kojak was cured. BUT!!! Getting back to MY YORKIE, there is nothing like this sweet, loving, smart, mischievious angel that cuddles with us every night and knows when it is time to go to bed, WITH MOM and POP.
