| Our other dogs were older; we knew that when they passed on, we wanted/need a smaller dog. We're down to our last pup, a rescued tripod (only 3 legs!) who's 15 years old and has kidney problems (and is incontinent ). I didn't want to be alone when it's her time to join our other dogs ...My husband had his heart set on a little girl for years. It's funny, HE'S the one who wanted a doggie to spoil, dress up, wear ribbons and show off to everyone. I asked him to keep an open mind. When we went to look at the pups, it was a little boy who stole his heart. So, instead of a prissy li'l thing, we have a rough 'n' tumble terror (oh! excuse me: terrier!!! ).This pup is for lovin', not showin'. If we could keep him like he is now, a little furry black and brown fuzz ball, we'd be in hog heaven. I know his coat will change, and I don't know what it will change into. But he will be well-loved regardless of his coloring. When the match is right, your heart will know - and it won't make a single bit of difference what color the pup is, if it's ears are too big, or even the gender. It will be RIGHT. You'll see! |
