| Whining baby with toy. I don't know if anyone else has this problem or not. My yorkie lays on the floor with his toy in his mouth and falls asleep. While he's doing this he keeps whining a little. When he finally falls asleep, the toy falls out of his mouth. Why does he do this? Is this normal? |

| Maybe he is just dreaming...they do dream and make little noises and move their feet. Ziggy does it sometimes...it's cute.

My Little Man! Donating Member | Ha ha its funny you mentioned that. Maxi does this all the time! He grabs the toy and keeps it in his mouth and falls a sleep with it. His cousin Maggie she is Cairn terrier she does the same. I think it comforts them as a singing to a baby. Maxi has it in his mouth and slightly chews on it and pushing the toy with his paws a little as if he is massaging it and then falls a sleep.

| I just think they can get attachment to a toy the way a child may be attached to a blanket or a stuffed animal. Chachi every night carrys his teddy bear up to our room when its time to go to bed. He doesnt sleep with it but it has to be in the room. Then every morning he carrys it back downstairs again.
