| Annoyed, irritated yet somewhat happy all at the same time Well, I just knew my grandmother would end up getting another dog. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=106078 I figured though, that she'd at least listen to me and try to let me help her find one. I know you guys are going to be so upset to hear this as I definitely was and I definitely got mad at her. My grandma called her sometime last week and told her if she came down to Indiana this weekend that she would buy her another dog, my grandma had thought and thought about it and figured it'd be the best thing to do because she stays so lonely. Well, I get a call from her today saying she ended up getting a "Yorkie/Maltese mix and that she's a designer dog!!!!" from Uncle Bills where my aunt always buys her pugs from , I can't stand my aunt though. I was like "....right" so then I proceeded to get angry and ask her if she forgot what I told her about pet stores and puppy mills and she replies with "oh, I asked the girl about all that and she said that they sometimes get their puppies from the amish but that one came from a girl and my grandma had her name or something" I have no idea. The dog was originally $1000 but since my aunt set the limit of $700, she talked her down to $750 for it and they agreed since she was already 3 months old and they had her for a while. Whatever, I'm so disgusted in my grandmother I could scream. I've been trying with all my heart to tell her about puppymills and brokers and everything since she lost Baby. She's gotta stay up there until Monday because she made an agreement with them that she'd get her pup checked and let them know what the vet says. My aunt just got done buying her 2nd pug from them and ended up spending like $2000 for congestion or something (not sure) but Uncle Bill's paid it and my grandmother told me that acting like it justified their doings. GRRRR. Anyway, now that the damage is done, she ended up naming her Bitsy. Like Itsy Bitsy

| I think sometimes getting family members to listen to you can be the toughest of all, especially when they are your parents or grandparents. They still think of you as a little kid and just don't really listen sometimes. A lot of people too just don't get it when it comes to puppymills...I wish we could really educate everyone somehow. I hope the puppy ends up being healthy. Pet stores are like con artists...all they do is lie lie lie about where those puppies come from, if they're healthy or not, saying they're "registered" by some crappy registry that means crap, etc... I wish they could all be shut down

| Lets face it, yorkies are real expensive and 1500 for a dog is really expensive if you only have 700 to spend. So guess she got what she could afford at the time.
