| Oh No! Look what I did, was it a mistake? I took Diddy Bear to the groomers today to get his hair cut. He is almost 11 months old and is full of energy! He does not like to be brushed at all so I thought I would get a puppy cut. He looks like a totally different dog. I am wondering if I made a mistake getting him cut this way. They had trouble getting his ears so they look choppy. They didn't want to stress him out too much since this was his first full cut. My fiance says he looks like a deer now. I know the hair will grow back so it isn't the end of the world, I just can't believe how different he looks. Here are some pics. #1 & 2 - before his cut. #3 - This is how he feels about being brushed (LOL) #4 - This is Diddy now after his cut

| I think he looks absolutely darling with the shorter cut. I like his ears too....and I'm sure it'll be a lot more manageable.

| It's cute... don't worry about it... hair grows back... I brought my Penny in for a haircut one time and she came out looking like a fox.... opossum. So you're baby isn't half as bad as mine was.

| No he doesn't bite me. He just likes to attack the brush. He thinks it is a toy and playtime

| I'm sure diddy will be happy with less grooming going on lol. That one picture cracks me up, I can only imagine how difficult he probably was for the groomer, considering that I think they did great. I don't know if this is known information but I was told by a groomer to never brush your puppies/dogs while in your lap. It helps if you always set them on a table/counter or somewhere high where they are standing in front of you when ever you are doing any type of grooming. That way they get used to it being that way and the groomers aren't introducing a whole new experience when they come in. It is easier on the pups if they are used to it. I have never brought my girls to a groomer but I always do their grooming on the counter or on bath day on the grooming table and they are awful if I try to groom them anywhere else. Also lots of treats for a job well done.. or even for a somewhat ok job lol

| He does look very different, but still very cute!! I have that same brush and my yorkie doesn't like it either. But when I use the flea comb to brush him, he doesn't seem to mind. I try to brush him while he is playing with a toy or treat. Be very gentle and give him lots of praise afterwards. It's worth a try if you like your baby with longer hair. Good Luck!! |
