| pup A new puppy! Great...he is eating treats, they can really fill him up, so watch how many he gets instead of food..it is like a kid eating a bag of crisps before lunch, then saying they aren't hungry for a sandwich..if he is playful, active, running around..he is getting plenty of food. It is common for puppies to be eager to see people who have been out of the house all day...my daughter got 3 puppies out of me this way...she said each one loved her husband more then her, she wanted one for herself...LOL |

| perhaps he doesn't care for the food very much. And to be honest, Pedigree is not a very good food for your pup. I'm not exactly what foods you have available in the UK - but here is a link to some foods & you could compare the different foods & ingredients. Educating yourself about food is important. Many choose to homecook. Here's the link www.dogfoodanalysis.com -- most yorkie owners avoid 6 star foods because they are very high in protein, good choices may be the 4 or 5 star foods

| Please change foods. Pedigree isn't a good one at all. Maybe your pup will like that better. And as YorkieRose said, it would be very normal for the pup not to eat its meals if it is getting treats all day.

| My puppy is 13 weeks so I am right the same sages as you I feed wellness and Sadie is on both canned and dry... The vet told me her tummy is only about the size of a walnut! She gets 2 tea spoons of wet food every 4 hours... She get s about 5 feedings because I feel she needs to be feed before bed time to get her through the night. She eats the wet food and dry well.... But my other yorkie Chewy has always been a picky eater and her just eats small portions at a time... If you switch to any thing make sure its puppy food and do it over time mixing the food your puppy is on now with what ever you decide to go to. If your pup is pooping and peeing and seems active and he is probably ok... They have tiny little tummies....

I am no expert in yorkie puppies, but my puppie did the same thing when she came to her new home with us. I got heart sick about her not eating. I finally spoke to my vet's asst. who said give her a little wet food with dry and it worked. I did not want to feed her canned food but had no choice, because she refused to eat. Anyway, she began eating the canned food mixed with dry. She is now eating dry food only and happy with it.
