I got the impression that it was a bag like my daughter was carryng Mika in when she was little, not a proper "doggie" bag, but a canvas tote bag.

WOW that is CRAZY! How did she not notice? Did she have one of those carriers that hangs on the back? Every time i take mine in the carrier and have it open i put on their security harness attachents incase anyone tries to just take them out and on top of the i always have my hand in the bag petting them so i know they're there. I also keep the bag hanging in front of me or on the side, i just get too worried. One time this guy was walking with his Yorkie in a sling carrier but it was behind him and the Yorkie was like half out, i was like omg if she's not strapped in anyone can just snatch her real quick.
