| ![]() I thought I would update those of you following my thread and story.... First and foremost I would like to extend a warm hug to all of you that have helped me with advice, support and prayers... I truly appreciate it all and I love everyone of you sooooooooo much words cannot explain it... I hope and pray no one ever has to go through a scare like this because it is just plain horrible..... the emotional drain and helpless feeling you have through it all just plain suxs. ![]() On a better note, I am happy to say and a bit optimistic that we will pull through this come hell or high water.. my little 4 pounder is a fighter and has great resilance. Going into day 3 today he woke up wanting to go potty and to play with one of his toys.... so I thank god for that.... he is doing a little better and we are going to take it day by day.... I am happy that he is looing much more cheerful and his big beautiful brown eyes don't look so sad. He seems to be wanting to be held and cuddled by mommy all the time but hey I am ok with that... I am not sure yet if it is really his kidneys or if it was a false alarm.. I am still going to look at better diets and try to modify them to his liking. So if any of you have tried and true home cooked meals or dry food or even canned that you would and are willing to recommend we truly appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts. I plan on taking him to get retested in a couple of weeks hopefully he will continue on the path of recovery and we will have good news to report.. I still have him on 2x a day amoxicilian syrup and will continue that to the vets orders . I am wondering if it is at all possible that he might have had a UTI infection? But I don't know... only time will tell on that one... I will tell you all this... right now I feel like the richest person in the world to be loved and to have Gizmo as my kiddo... I thank god every night for giving him good health and such a great heart to love me as much as he does... TO my YT Family, thank you ALL so MUCH! I pray to god your babies are safe and healthy for the rest of their lives.... no one should have to endure this type of thing EVER. Thank you , thank you, thank you ,thank you , thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you so very very very very much for all your support, advice, experiences and prayers... may god grant all of you and your loved furbutts many years of great health ![]() |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | ![]() So glad to read this. I hope he just gets better and better - and that this was all just some weird fluke. On the diet, what are you looking for exactly? Low protein or normal? Kibble, canned, raw, or homecooked? ![]()

| ![]() low protein, low phosphorus if possible... I have been told that Solid Gold Hollistique Blendz is good for this? Any other suggestions? Or California Natural Lamb & Rice? |
