My Duchess lifts her right foot when she pee's

Both of our girls squat, but slightly lift one leg when they go! I figured like someone else posted, it's to avoid getting their fur wet!

I really want to breed her, but not till she is at least 3 years old, I have never bred dogs before, I really do not know what to do, I am so confused and worrying now. I did not know any of these info before, but now that I know, I do not know how to decide. Should I open a new thread in the appropriate health section?, cause now I am more concern about Duchess's health. I am past the way she pees.

aaaaahhh tracey! so this is where miss buffey gets this! it is toooo cute! she squats and just lifts her back left paw up a teeny tiny bit (you can hardly notice it unless you are looking for it)...the first time i saw her do it, i did a double take! i was like i thought i got a girl rofl!

Babsy squats inside on the pee pad & semi squats while lifting her left hind leg outside; Gizmo lifts his leg inside (usually gets most of it on the pee pad) but prefers to squat outside - I sure do wish he was more like Babsy & would squat inside, but that life right???

My Lucy lifts her left leg to tinkle. Not only that, she also shakes it the whole time It's hilarious to see.

Jasmine is two years old and has always lifted her leg, I think because they are so small they dont want to pee on themselves, but I got her spayed at 9 months and she never got her period before that so I dunno?? but it is funny when they lift their little leg to go tinkle!!

My Bella lifts her leg, just a little (not like a male would). I also think it's to stay clean. She's 10 months old just finished her first heat, I think all dogs are different. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I've also heard of dogs having silent heats where you don't even know they went into heat.
