| Hello to everyone! My name is Andi and I am the proud owner of 4 yorkies. I am currently learning to show and I also obedience train. Learning to cultivate and grow coat is probably the greatest task I've undertaken thus far. I have found that brushing, conditioning and wrapping is very relaxing and I really enjoy it. The most frustrating part is having to learn alot on my own. You see, I did not purchase a puppy from a show breeder because I have three kids and "life happens" (he does have a pedigree with champions in his background). I wanted to make sure that the high maintenance of a yorkie was something I would stick with and would work with my family as well. I contacted a "show breeder" close to where I lived but she would'nt have anything to do with me because I did not specifically buy from a "show breeder". Anyway, besides learning to show, I'm having alot of fun in obedience and rally with my Yorkies. I hope to start them in agility later when they are fully grown. I love to learn and am hoping to exchange info here at yorkietalk! See ya, Andi I did purchase my |

| Hello and Welcome to YT!! I did some obedience as well, I use to teach classes for a little while also. I too am looking to get into agility, hopefully this summer or fall depending on when classes are held and whether my schedule works with it. Good luck with showing and obedience!! Hope you enjoy it here!!

| Welcome! My yorkie does well with obedience training. In fact, she has trained me so well that I jump at every command.

| Andi - Welcome to Yorkietalk! You are to be commended for making the effort to learn. I am so very sorry that you were shunned by the show breeder.... What an awful thing to do - turn away someone who is genuinely seeking knowledge. You have cometo the right place to be welcomed with open arms and to learn. I can't wait to see pics of your Yorkie family. btw we are "nearly neighbors -I live in Rome, Georgia. |
