| does your older yorkie protect the younger one??? Our Chewy one and a half years old, is so protective of our new little girl. Sadie is 12 weeks now and we have had her 2 weeks. We went to the vet today and Chewy was so lovable and friendly with this guy petting him. But when he went to pet Sadie Chewy growled a little!!! CHewy also was really protective of Sadie when our cat was near by. Our cat is a love bug but Chewy would not allow him near Sadie for the first week! Any one else have a protective big brother or sister????

| Rocky protects Bella from other dogs, not so much other people though. Rocky's best friend is my moms boxer, but when we bring Rocky and Bella over there Rocky will play with him, but the minute he goes near Bella Rocky lets him know that he isn't allowed to play with her

| It's the other way around for me, my little one, Bailey gets very upset if strangers go near her older sister Maggie. She starts hopping around like a jumping bean, but doesn't growl. Oh, Congratulations on your new addition!!! Kathy |

| My 11 yr. old female Yorkie is very protective of my 10 yr. old female Yorkie who is half her size. When Cocoa is chewing on a raw hide Rosie won't allow either of the fur-boys close. Rosie also runs to check Cocoa out if she utters a peep. Cocoa is mentally challenged and sometimes I think that Rosie knows it. I rescued Rosie after I got Cocoa but the second she walked in the house she took to protecting Cocoa. |

| Gracie has become quite protective of little Holly. If I give Holly a bath, wash her face, brush her, or whatever, Gracie is right there checking to make sure all is OK. Gracie insists on going with when I take Holly to the vet. It's so cute!

| I just Harley 3 weeks ago, and he is about the same age and size as Chip. We were down at our neighbors today playing in his yard with his lab mix Jake. Chip and Jake will go at it as much as a little dog and big dog can. Then Jake went for Harley and Chip jumped in on it, it was clear Harley didn't want to play with Jake in the same manner he does with Chip. So I don't know if it was a one time thing or what but I guess that is sort of protecting him.

| Yes, Tigger my older one not only is always near her but if she is playing with my Shih Tu's and she yelps or something he comes charging, barking at the other dogs. He is her hero. She on the other hand chews, his paws and ears he lies down and takes it. She's his little sis. |

| Penny has become even more protective of us and our home since Riley arrived. And if Riley does the reverse sneezing, Penny is there in an instant to make sure she's ok. |
