| emergency trip to the vet! Our little 11 week old darling was rushed to the ver after she got into our older yorke's food and over ate....I have kept their food apart and when she saw the chance she wolfed down his food!!!! Her tummy was rather enlarged and she was throwing up... the vet had to take xrays, do an ultra sound, and check for hypoglysemia (becausse she would not eat because she was sooooo full!) It turns out they were checking for bloat and that can be very serious and life threatening.... The stomach can twist and they can die!!! It isn't comon in yorkie;s because they are so small and there isn't as much room in there as in a big dog. I read Marley and Me and I knew what bloat was so I was a mess.... $300.00 later!!!! But she is fine... Thanks God for the 24 hour vet here. I have 4 vet numbers in my cell phone and I'm so glad I had this number handy!!!! if your baby ever gets into aything and thier tummy is very very full, make sure you got right away to the vet! It could be life or death!

| it's important to know... Bloat is a very bad thing for a dog to have... I hope others are reading this because other wise you might think your baby is just a bit full...the truth is their stomach can twist or flip...and they can die. Their stomach can also rupture. The vet said her stomach is the size of a walnut and so when it is much bigger you know it is not good. Pass this along please so people know...

| Great to hear she is doing fine. The furbabies can really get into different things that can hurt them.

| Brooke, if this weight was on the scales(big ones) at the vets, they weigh by 10ths and not 16th, which would put your baby close to 2 lbs. glad your baby is going to be okay... |

| thats right Sadie is just about 2 pounds. She seems so tiny... I'm glad she will be about 4-5 pounds full grown. Being so tiny makes me worry an awful lot. I weighed her a little while ago and my scale says 2 pounds...I guess scales vary???
