I simply don't believe that you guys would wake up every 2 hrs during the night to let him go to the washroom.

In fact I brought my yorkie to the washroom as soon as he barked (during the 11.5 hrs) I was just sleepin, i didn't intentionally stop him from going.

well..you better believe it..when i first got Tumi, i woke up every 2 to 3 hr to let her go potty and so did my hubby..i think that's the responsible thing to do and they are like babies..i still wake up whenever my girls need to go. they are pee pad trained. they can hold it for a whole night but sometimes they JUST have to go and i would feel really guilty if i don't let them go for 11.5 hr..

The indoor pen is a good idea for keeping the pups safe & a great help for potty training. When I'm gone I leave Zander and Jazzie in individual pens side by side, I leave a pipi pad, just in case they can't hold it, they end up holding it, even though the pad is there. It is sooo important to give the pups between 4-8 months, things to chew on, safe toys, merricks flossies are excellent, my 2 get 3 or so a week, it helped with them loosing their teeth, so I had to pay less at the vets for extractions. Chewing for them is as good as a walk, its a must, keep them happy, provide some chewing goodies, I believe that's what keeps my two from damaging household items, shoes, etc.

In my home they have access to water until 10 pm. I take them for the last time at 11:00. They sleep through the night & wake up to potty at 7ish, they make a great alarm clock .

During the night since pups are sound asleep they don't wake up every 2 hours unless there is a urinary tract infection.

Hey, I used to set the alarm clock at night for Zander to go potty outside, I was a little more worrisome with the 1st one, didn't want him to potty in his bed and think it was OK, I was afraid he would cry and I would be too sound asleep to hear him. The second time (Jazzie) no alarm clock needed, she will loudly let me know, get up mom, its time to goooo!!

Jasmine just turned two years old on January 1st...she's my BIG 2 year old now!! LOL But probobly since she was 10 months old she has had free run of the house, when hubby and I aren't there or we are sleeping she uses her pee pee pads and when we are there she lets us know when she has to go out. I guess I got lucky the only thing she has ever chewed is an envelope other than that she uses her toys. We make sure there is nothing in the house that she can get into or hurt herself, all of our furniture when we arent there has her stairs for it, so we are still puppy proofed!
