| Just a couple of questions..... First of all, I have read a few posts on here about people giving green beans, carrots etc. as treats to their puppies..Bear is only a little over 3 months old..do you think he is to young to give that sort of food? I would love to try this especially as a potty training treat. Sencond question..how often to you bathe your Yorkie? Bear has had his 3rd set of shots, so I have been taking him outside and he gets quite dirty and seems to need bathed often. What do you all think? |

| I gave Linus frozen green beans and small baby carrots at that age. I think it helped him when he was teething. I bathe Linus once a week, sometimes once every two weeks. I also use those "bath towelette" things to get out food and mud that could start to smell. I hope that helps!

| I give Coco baths once a week, and she has a fabulous coat (it's not drying it out). I also started giving Coco baby carrots, apples, and watermelon early on for training. I have never had any problems with that because I always give her a couple of pieces, and they are really small pieces.

| Mine love baby carrots too! Just make sure the pieces are the right size so that he can't choke on them. Mine love strawberries and apple pieces, but I don't give the skin of the apple bc I am afraid of choking. Just remember, NO GRAPES or RAISINS bc they are poisonous! Bil-Jac liver treats are good potty training treats too... they are low infat and they are soft so you can break pieces off for treats. Tino and Bunny get weekly baths too! Its best to start when they are young so that they get used to! Good luck with your baby!

| I give weekly bath's, too. I use puppy shampoo and conditioner & a spray conditioner. Brush after a bath even though the puppy coat doesn't seem to need brushing. When it does, they have become quite resistant. That is mine anyway!

| What great suggestions! I have been giving Rocky a bath once a week along with a thorough brushing! Carrots have been his favorite treat since he was about 3 months! Today, he had melon for the first time and he loved it but needed a good face washing right away! |

| I give my Olivia baby carrots, but it takes her hours and hours to eat, and sometimes she leaves carrot shreds behind, so if your dog likes to chew slowly at things, you could have a mini mess at hand. She also loves blueberries (so much that she steals them from our garden if I cant catch her before she gets there!). I also bathe her once a week using Suave shampoo with conditioner (the one thats equivelant to Pantene) and Pantene daily moisture renewal shampoo. I use these bc they rinse easily and shes not too big on baths. Theres also a great spray conditioner called Snarly Dog, sold at www.divapup.com. It smells great and works really well, makes her hair shiny and tangle and stink free. Also, if you're trying to grow out your little ones coat like I am, you should consider Pet Wipes. They're just like pre-moistened baby wipes, but for pets. They're perfect for when your dog accidentally steps in her pee when shes done |
