| X-Pen opinion. Please help I am thinking of ordering the xpen in the link. It is 15"high and Chewy is about 9" and not really a jumper and this offers 9 feet of space. i wil be putting his small bed, food and a potty pad. Do you think this is enough space and high enough. I need opinions because I have to get one of these soon. Thanks everyone. http://www.petco.com/product_info.as...tats&ct3=Cages Last edited by chewysmom; 07-07-2005 at 10:22 AM. | wow, only $19! thats cheap, i hope its sturdy. He might turn into a jumper after you put him in there. Mine turned into a jumper, and started jumping over the baby gate! so i put him in a play pen which is even taller, and he jumped out of that, so i had to get a canopy for it. but that pen looks good, and space sounds good too! |

| That sounds like enough space to me. Mine do fine with their xpen.

| I bought the 18" one but had to go to a specialty place to get it. Very difficult to find...made for small dogs. My breeder suggested a small one so it would be easy to move around the house and you can pack it and take it places. I am a little concerned about the height now. Sort of wish I would have gone with the 24" b/c Shelby is starting to jump. Not even close to getting out, but I am wondering if that day will come. (she is tiny, but still growing) x-pens are great! Highly recommend them. |

| I bought one from Ebay. Mine I think is a little to high. It has a door and a handle for easy carrying. I will attempt to attach the picture. Tauni |

I was going to get one this size but when Big Daddy (hubby!) saw it, I do have to say he was not thrilled with something this size being set up in our apartment I'm taking my chances with the small one. They told me that I can return it if it doesn't work out. | |

| Chewey's mom, The price is great. If you can return it if doesnt work out, I will say to get it. Please let us know how it works out for him? Tauni, I love that xpen. How much you pay for it? I like that has a door access. |

| I paid $55 for mine. ($20 just for shipping) It is 42 inches high. My male is a jumper but I wish I would have got one a little shorter so I could reach in. Maybe if a bunch of us wanted them I could contact the seller to see if we could get a deal!!! Thanks Tauni |

| http://www.petco.com/Shop/Product.as...36&N=85+122+30 I got the one in the above link. Scroll down and you will see the green and purple one. It's 19.99. It will only be good for a small puppy or small full grown. Chewy is probably 3 1/2 lbs and he does fine in this. I put a little doggie bed and he has toys and he just settles in when we go out. Plus it is not too obtrusive in the house. |

| I've used a 24" high with 8 panels 24" wide each at http://www.midwesthomes4pets.com #540 in gold color and I wish I bought a plastic one for babies instead of this heavy duty metal one. It don't sit well on a wooden floor, ok for carpets. It folds flat to carrying, but is really heavy. Our 2 have never tried to jump over being 5 lbs each fully grown. Now its only being used as a room divider when I want the living room closed with a wide door opening. Comes in handy tho ! I'd be on the safe side and get the 24", you can still reach in ok.
