| play pen transition Ok Rudy has been in a playpen during times that we are gone since coming to us but I am ready to transition him to a room .. I am thinking the kitchen.. what I need to know from all of you is how I need to prepare it .. ie.. rugs.. chairs.. etc.. i plan on leaving his bed food water toys place to potty but my concern is chewing.. on cabinets etc.. please advise.. i also plan to leave him for short times in the beginning.. 1 hr - etc.. thanks so much..

| Mine are in the kitchen, and they have no rugs (they think they are pee pads), anyplace that they can get behind, is blocked off, pee pads are in an out of t he way spot, fresh water, and I free feed so they always have food down.

| You should probably just try it out and watch him. Does he usually try to chew on cabinets? If he hasn't before, he'll probably only do it if he's really bored.
