Planning a trip with JoJo...help! Hello! I am new here and I was just wondering if anyone has a tall Yorkie? My little Jojo is about 11 inches tall from floor to the top of his back. How on earth am I going to get him into a bag and fly with him? Will they not let him on the plane? I am figuring someone has done this and can tell me from experience bc I don't want to get there and him be rejected, they don't measure do they(and I am sure he will lay down)? Also he is very skiddish, how do I make sure he won't freak out (even on Dramamine)~ yikes! And, anyone prefer the Petote Kelle or Bali, I am deciding!!! Thanks....

Nice to meet you DeniseNicole and JoJo! Does JoJo sit or lay in any carriers you may have now? If he can lay in the bag, I'm sure airlines would let you carry him on and put him under the seat. You can also give him a treat or Greenie while he is on the plane to keep him occupied.

| jojo and carriers! Jojo hates carriers...I should have made him go in when he was younger, he just wimpers and gets out as soon as he is in. I am going to purchase a bag soon and start getting him used to it... Any other ideas?

I think you're doing the right thing by getting him use to the bag. I would try to take him with you everywhere you go so he knows what's going to happen. Try sticking a toy in there that he really likes.

I am going on my first flight with Keeley tomorrow! We just got back from the Vet to get a health certificate, and he gave me some liquid seditive to give him an hour before each flight (only $8). And the past two weeks I have had his carrier sitting on the floor and I will randomly put his favorite treats and toys in there, so when he walks by he'll see there is something he likes in there and goes in to get it. Now he loves his carrier, it means he gets GOOD THINGS! And I never closed him inside for about a week and a half because I didn't want him to be scared of it until he loved it. Now the past few days I'll close him in, give him a treat and take him around the house with me, or outside and give him another treat. The bag we got would probably be to short for him, it is for up to 8 in high. I am sure you could find a carrier that would work for you. Good luck! I'll let you know how my flight(s) go this week, and if there is anything I'd recomend afterwards.
