| Results of Petsmart grooming & pic with Santa After freaking out last week about SoCo's first grooming, I am pleased to say that I was VERY impressed with the results. Sadly, cotton coats tend to revert to ragamuffins about 12 hours of grooming, but at least I have pictures!! lol The groomer said that he was great, especially considering it was his first grooming. And she must have been good with him because he kept walking back over to her and jumping up... lol He was a little fraidy-cat on the way down in the car and when we first went into the store, but he turned out to be a real people person once some started to say hello. After his picture with Santa, he kept trying to climb back up on Santa's lap! (Pic with Santa was BEFORE grooming) Anyway, I just wanted people to see that not all Petsmarts are bad, and it may be worth giving them a shot. Granted I didn't get a hair cut, but I was still afraid of getting a shaved dog back. I got a happy, gorgeous little stud muffin back and I promised them I'd tell everyone what a great experience it was!! lol |

Therapy Dog Donating Member | SoCo looks so neat in his Santa pic...and you are right...not all groomers at Pesmart are bad..we take our one elderly cat into Petsmart every 4 months to get cut down and they do a great job on her and she hates everybody in her old age (she is 14 years old)!!!

| Thank you, we love him to death, groomed or not! I think we're going to ask for the same girl again next time too, though they all seemed very nice. |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | the pictures are great. petsmart did a good job. how do you get his cotton coat to lay down like that? morgan's stands up on all ends. i will never lay flat. do you have to grow it long enough before it will start laying down?

| Well, for what he looks like normally, see picture with Santa... lol It's about 1-2 inches past his belly. I actually found that their conditioner (or the blowdry) made his hair a little too pouffy. When I bathe him I used generic baby shampoo all over (I'm a klutz, don't want to take chances) and Pantene conditioner. Also, I only do about 2-3 minutes of blow drying - he mostly rubs on my couch/air dries. But just before I start the blow dry I take a mix of water and Pantene and spray him to do a comb out. That seems to help. I wonder if he might not be a modified cotton though because his hair isn't curly, more wavy, but definitely not silky. I tried Herbal Essenses on him (I don't like the smell of Pantene on him, but I do on me, it's weird) and I had the same result as the Petsmart conditioner, a little pouffy and fly away. |

| Have you ever tried the Johnson and Johnson detangler when your blow drying or even Infusion 49?? |
