| Milk Came In!! How Long Before Delivery? I was wondering if anyone out there could tell me how long after their pregnant yorkies milk came in before they delivered? Lily's temperature actually spiked this afternoon also (101.2). It has usually been around 100.2-100.6. I am very anxious! |

| Milk can sometimes come in a week before delivery. Also, her temperature will drop to around 99 12 hours before delivery. That is not set in stone, its just a guidline. Do you know what date the first breeding took place? |

| I have had milk in at 3 days before, a week before and once not till pups came. Mine will spike the temp up then go way down when we whelp.. I keep records of everything and they usually follow the same pattern each time. |

| Their first breeding took place on October 21st. I am keeping a close eye on her. I am taking her temp. several times a day now. I am waiting to see a drop in her temperature or any types of signs of going into labor. Her appetite is not as big as before, but she is eating. |

The presence of a clear jelly like vaginal secretion is usually seen 1-3 days prior to delivery the temp should drop down to about 99 within 24 hours of delivery and 62 days from the day they tied to delivery, give or take 5 days..so, anytime now.. Last edited by hha; 12-20-2007 at 05:21 PM. | |

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | Best thing to do if she is close is to take her temp 3 times per day at the same time everyday so you will see the pattern. Good luck in your upcoming whelping! |
