| Its really cute how they do it. Bella "makes her bed" every night by digging on my comforter until she's satisfied

| Every night while I am getting ready for bed Macy plays with Daddy on the bed, when she is done she starts making her own bed on my covers on my side of the bed. Well last night when I went to pick her up to put her in bed, my husband told me "she worked hard making that bed and your not going to let her sleep in it!" I laughed because she sleeps in her doggy bed at the foot of our bed. (I don't trust her the whole night loose in the house)

| Baby does this too, but she prefers to sleep under the covers inbetween my legs, so I also just nudge her and she stops, I mean she isn't going to move that sheet very far! |

| Jane and Jeremiah do that all the time! Sometimes its annoying when I am sleeping but I think its cute. Jane likes to do it by my pillow when she is in my room. But Jeremiah sleeps with me and he does it everywhere on the bed or anyplace that has cover in my room. I think its cute.

| Linus rarely does it to the blanket or the bed, but he does do it to the carpet when he lays down there to sleep. He's not even moving anything so it makes no sense to me!

| I remember hearing the reason behind the digging! lol Some tv program was on and I was listening to why dogs do this. They said that pets even indoor pets will dig into blankets, the rug, furniture when they are getting ready for bed.The said that hundreds of years back ,dogs lived and slept outside.Their owners or the dogs would often dig into the dirt a bit to get cooler ground and a spot for their dogs to sleep in.THey said most dogs did this automatically on their own. Even the indoor pets of today still have this instinct to dig for their sleeping spot. If it's totally true or not I dont know but it makes sense to me Genie, Cookie & Mimi |
