| I like Petsmart better. Almost everyone I've been too is nicer looking and cleaner. They seem to be arranged better and have better products. Petsmart normally has cuter clothes than Petco as well.

| I like Petsmart better. It just has a cleaner feel to it. Our Petco seems so dirty. I also think Petsmart has more to offer, at least the ones in our area.

| It seems the staff is much more considerate at our Petsmarts than at Petco, however, both have had staff members that have said and done things that I think are questionable. I try not to take my dogs to Petco, but once in awhile I do-I prefer Petsmart though because it's generally cleaner than Petco is. The Petco in Burnsville MN is the dirtiest Petco I've ever seen...bugs, dust, and dirt everywhere, dried up pee on the floor in more than 10 places, empty "accident" stations, and no paper towels in the filthy restroom. I complained to the cashier about it, and she blew me off! I will never go there again!

| If I had to choose between the 2 I would choose petsmart. I think the prices are better. I usually go for pee pads (petsmart) and Zukes natural treats (petco).

| I think Target has the cheapest I've seen. They are the Arm & Hammer kind. MUCH cheaper than Petco or Petsmart

| I like Petsmart better..... but sometimes that place is so busy it is crazy! .... plus when it is packed full of people and animals, they get behind on their housekeeping!! (but most of the time it is very clean)

| I like petsmart better then petco and Im not say that just because Im a groomer at Petsmart lol. My local petco always stinks when you go in there, it smells like dirty hampster cages no matter what time of day you go there. However I get my food at cutters mill (they sell innova evo)

| I prefer shopping at PetSmart. In my limited experience, PetSmart has much cleaner stores and better prices. |

No Longer a Member | We've had petsmart in our local shopping center for nearly two years now. It is clean and well-laid out, and the staff is always very friendly. Plus, Petsmart has a very good customer service policy. They will take anything back--even opened dog food. Petco just opened nearby a couple of months ago. I went in once. I found all the dogfood prices higher by about $1 a bag. They did have a better choice of harder to find specialty treats and things, but the aisles were hard to navigate (they were turned this way and that). I prefer Petsmart. |
