My yorkie, male, 8 months old My yorkie, male, 8 months old, discovered yesterday that he can "pee" with one leg up, so now he does not want to pee on the pad. He did it in one of my bed's corner, at my sister night table, in the family room....I have him for hours in the place where I have the pad for him, and he is doing nothing. What shall I do? please, help me!!! Last edited by Corina; 12-13-2007 at 06:06 PM. Reason: spelling correction

Has he been netuered? If not, I would suggest you do it now..they should be neutered between 5-6 mos. to keep from doing this..

The first thing that I would try is to get him neutered. Also, have you thought about having him go outside to use the bathroom? The great thing about having them go outside is that he can go to the bathroom anywhere he wants to. If you keep the pee pad I have heard that you can take a 2 liter bottle and wrap it with a pee pad, then mark it with some of his pee, that way he can lift his leg to pee on it. Hope this works out. My pup is 7 months old has been lifting his leg since he was 10 weeks old, never in the house. He goes outside to potty and has plenty of places to handle himself.
