| Well, I just had a scare! I'm visiting my parents for the rest of the month. They live out in the country on 48acres, surrounded by woods...although their is a highway in front of the property. Lacy is never allowed outside offleash because she'll take off running and won't listen at all. My parent's yorkie, Rylie, normally goes outside on a leash too, but will also go out off-leash occasionally when everyone's home and it's light outside. He's pretty good about listening and staying close. Anyway, I just took him and Lacy outside - Lacy on a leash but Rylie offleash - because everyone was home (so no cars would be coming up the driveway) and it was daytime (so no wild animals lurking in the yard)...well, rylie all of a sudden took off. There were two big dogs in our yard! A big black one and a big white one. I yelled at him to stop and took off after him but he wouldn't listen and was running so fast after those dogs. He got really close to the black dog and I was so afraid it was going to turn around and attack him. My dad heard me screaming at him and came out to see what was going on. We were both yelling at Rylie and luckily he finally stopped and came back over to me so I could pick him up. Ugh...I hate that people let their dogs just run loose out in the country...I knew I had to worry about coyotes and stuff esp. at night, but I wasn't thinking about people's big dogs running loose! Anyway, that just scared me! I was just so afraid one of those dogs was going to attack Rylie! No more offleash outside for Rylie anymore...

| The big dogs were running out toward the woods away from the house...Rylie was running after them. When he finally stopped, they kept running away from our house into the woods

| Oh, that's scary! There's always some people that just let their dogs wander. That drives me crazy.

| Disaster averted! Thank goodness! People letting their dogs roam is a pet peeve of mine!! Makes it unsafe for all the rest of us.
