| Newbie Question Hi YT! I'm a newbie that has been lurking around for about a week, so I just decided to drop in and say hello, and ask a newbie question. I am a yorkie mom-to-be (hopefully soon!); I have been doing my research on the breed as well as the ideal breeder, and I'm ready to take the next step of contacting one of the breeders I have come across. I was on the breeder's website last week, and the puppies were one price; I checked the website again today, and the puppies are now $200-$400 more than they were last week. So my question to you: Is there such thing as a "peak season" for yorkie puppies? My husband said it was probably because of Christmas. Is this the "norm", and can the price of yorkies fluctuate throughout the year? The original price was a bit much (in my mind), but I understand the importance of paying a quality price for a quality pup from a quality breeder. But I simply cannot convince myself that 7 days can make a $400 difference. Thanks. Renee |

| welcome to yt. i have seen where the value increases due to the puppy is growing and the breeder feels the quality is better so they increase the price. you really have to watch out b/c some breeders will increase the price if they are getting a lot of inquires and feel they can increase the price b/c some people get very attached to the puppy in the picture and they "just have to have it" i hope this helps you

| Yes, that definitely helps. And makes perfect sense. I think I will move on as far as breeders go . . . Which makes me sad, because as you said, one can get very attached to pictures. . . but it is always a joy to see all of the beautiful babies here on YT! Renee |
