Max was very silver (face and body) after his first grooming as well. Now he is only light silver/ white on the top of his head although I saw some blond coming in at the roots yesterday. His body has darkened a bit. I love how they change too and can't wait to see the adult coat. Congrats on your little cutie!

i love the pictures of all your silver babies, (not grey) Silver coats are beautiful. When I got my last full bred female Murphy at 3 months she looked like a skunk because she had a silver stripe down the center of the back, she grew out all silver from then on out. Her face and paws stayed a golden blond. I always received more compliments on her coat than my darker males. Enjoy the silver because once their hair grows in you will love it.

Tibbe is grayer now than this picture shows. When I first got him at 9 mos., he was still tan & black and then shortly his head began lightening to champagne and then his back lightened to gray by the time he was 2 years.

chester was grey on top of his head and most of his face years ago and now he is tan on his head and feet

Not to confuse you further but sometimes the silver turns black on the back and light tan /sand on the face and legs. yorkies change their colouring a number of times before and during adulthood I believe so enjoy the rollercoaster.
