Pure white or silver yorkies, please.

Sooooo cute! She reminds me of my Molly only white! Totally looks like a Yorkie, hair texture and all. Just totally white!

It's been fun looking at all these blondes.

I've seen "platinum" coloring discussed on here, where the Yorkie is a very, very pale gold all over.

I have seen one actual white Yorkie at a Yorkie meet. Not silver, white, with a few black streaks. The owner swore up and down he was full Yorkie. His face and body shape looked like a pure Yorkie.

As you can see from my avatar, I have a blond boy. I adopted him from someone else, so I'll never be 100% sure of his heritage. I think he's beautiful regardless.

My Georgie is a blond....he does have some black mixed in on his back, but basically is very light. Certainly is a yorkie imo. Of course he was found in a shelter, so one never really knows for sure.

Color mutations happen...wonderfully unique! Has anyone with a silver, blond or white Yorkie done a DNA breed marker identification test? They're no where near 100% but I'd be curious to know what the results were if anyone has...I used this one through my vet.

That pic of the three of your babies sleeping is the cutest stinking pic ever! I have a similar "coffee table" like that and mine do the same I've been trying to get that (with all three of mine sleeping) pic for months and they get up and move every time I get the cam out! I'm so jealous!

Just curious.... Does Georgie have dark roots? The reason I am asking is Piccolo has about a half inch of dark roots, then it goes to silver. (You said he had some dark colors on his back.)

I used to blame Piccolo's light coloring on taking prednisone for a very long time, but I don't think so now. Before that she was a dark gray - until about 2 years old. Did you ever see Georgie with darker gray?

Yes, he does have dark roots. It is very obvious now because I had his hair cut short recently. He is getting older and I just felt he did not need me messing with his hair all of the time. He also has been on prednisone (Temeril P) for some time and that is interesting; but I have another one who is getting lighter as he ages and he is not. I also had a foster last year who was very light. I think some are just light colored like that.
