| Check out this link in the FAQ Section for YorkieTalk.com: http://yorkietalk.com/forums/showthr...7038#post77038 Yorkies tend to grow a lighter color on their head and legs. But it depends. When you look for a Yorkie, make sure to see the parents and see if you like their pedigree. Good luck!!! |

| color A bitch can fade from hormones and having puppies..but it will not turn her all blonde as a rule... they tend to get light silver, not gold...are all the puppies black? I had a UK girl who was almost all gold by her 7th year..but that type was running gold..she stayed dark until about 4 yrs and got lighter and golder each year...when I clipped her down one time, her body was much darker blue, but muddled with gold..odd coloring.. Tinkers mom..that is a normal color fade with some..as you say, she was not born that way as others here. Last edited by YorkieRose; 11-26-2007 at 03:34 PM. |

| I have a little blonde! She is just the love of my life. I got her from a breeder that had her mother fixed as this color is considered by some to be a mutation. Addy had 2 standard siblings and one other "apricot" as the breeder called it. Someday I hope to have a rainbow of yorkies but for now my little girl is all I can handle. Best wishes to you! |

Oh she is a cutie but she looks like a regular yorkie to me, color wise.

| I'd be thrilled if Pippa turned out light colored...when I got her at 11 weeks she was already starting to break into silver on her head, and she is very light on her chest, legs, cheeks, in fact she is so light in some places it is almost platinum... But she could come out purple and pink and I'd still think she is perfect!!!
