The little Maltese was the only entry...not taking anything away from it, but when you have no competition from the champion in BOB, the class winner as a rule does not have the coat of a Specials..

The Peke, who won the Toy group was a specials champion and went on to win a Group 1..so it is extremely unlikely the Yorkie, who is still a puppy and not in a mature coat could beat it..if there had been Specials in the Yorks, (one would have won) then the playing field would have been more equal...the little Yorkie was simply outclassed, but none the less lovely bitch.

| Oh okay...makes sense if it was the only one entered. I thought a national dog show would be bigger. I don't know much about this show though and I didn't get to see it today.

Some of the breeds had many enteries..the Maltese class consisted of two and one was absent...which is not unsual for Maltese to have a small entry..some show have none...

I was happy the australian shepherd won because the handler did not need to be constantly straightening it up, if I had a handler I think I would request they not be constantly touching the dog. It makes the dog look like they really do not know what they should be doing.don't you agree
