| Do you find Yorkies seem to attract the weirdest people sometimes? My hubby and i went out for the afternoon last friday to a beautiful cotswold village a couple of miles from where we live. It is very popular and busy with christmas shoppers etc. I took pixie with me as i'm getting her socialised and used to people/crowds, traffic etc and was carrying her in my arms. This woman (i would say in her fifties/sixties) suddenly spots Pixie and makes a beeline for us saying in a loud voice "can i see your dog"!! No problem i think to myself..anyway, she proceeded to GRILL ME on Pixie! "what is her name?" (she asked me this 3 times??) "how much does she weigh"? " where did i get her from"? "how much did i pay for her"? "will i get her spayed"? when i said maybe not because of her size she was like.. "OH! you are not going to breed her are you"!? she didn't give me a chance to explain myself before she was asking the next question! Then she wanted to know if she slept with me and if not where did she sleep! She asked if my 'boyfriend' (My hubby of 13 yrs is stood next to me!) had bought her for me as a gift! She also asked me WHY she wasn't wearing a jumper because she looked cold!! Then before leaving me she said, "I would have her off you in a second!! YEAH RIGHT! not without a fight missy! LOL quite scary really!

| Wow! At least she sounded like she had good intentions. I'm sure there are weirder and ruder people out there. LOL But I guess you should be flattered with all her comments, even her asking about your "boyfriend!" Hehe. |

I couldn't follow him and escape because of having a dog with me!

| I got you beat. I had my baby at Walmart w/ me one night... snuck her in...in a purse...lol... anyway this guy came up to me and said he wanted her.... he looked like a homeless person... I said sorry...not for sale... anyway he said he would give me a gold brick for her. I said sure... I'll take a gold brick for her (as if... I mean who has one anyway). Well he met me outside w/ a brick that was stamped w/ something and he swore it was a gold brick. I would have laughed in his face... but truly... I was scared Sh&%less!!!! |

I didn't leave California!! It wasn't me! Sorry! I just wanted to see what it would be like to be the crazy person! Hope I didn't freak you out!

Peeka Boo I See You! Donating Member | People are crazy!!!!!! I no longer take either of my babies anywhere with me it is just to scary anymore. I used to take them to petsmart but i had to stop that because when i would walk in with one of them i would get surrounded by ppl trying to touch and wanting to hold (and i don't mean a few ppl like the whole freking store) Well the last time i took Daisy with me i walked in and got the usual crowd but there was a weird guy this time was very intrested in her and was asking a lot of questions. I got very uncomfortable and started walking to another isle. Well this guy followed me everywhere i went down every isle i turned he followed me i got so freaked out i asked the manager to walk me out to my car and the freaking guy followed us outside after that i just don't take them anywhere i didn't even go right home i drove around because i was scared he would follow me home.
