| Petland What do these pet stores that sell puppies do on Thanksgiving/Xmas when they are closed??? Do some of the employees come in to care for these babies?? I was at Petland for the 2nd time and there puppies have no floor mat in their cages. There is a little girl yorkie still there that i cant seem to stop worrying/thinking about. oh my gosh she so needs a blankie!!!!! They told me she was shipped to this dayton ohio store from minnosota and showed me her lineage as if to prove she was not from a puppy mill....They closed at 6 this evening and open at 9-- does this mean all those puppies are alone all that time?? Does someone come in to check on them at night? |

| I'm sure on the days the store is closed that an employee comes in to feed and clean up after the dogs. I believe and employee gets there before they open to clean up the cages too from the mess the puppies make overnight

Donating YT 11K Club Member | They just feed them and give them water and leave them there. I think that's what most petstores do..it makes me so sad!

| They do have someone come in when they are closed to feed and check on them. I was just at our Petland this weekend. I do not like how they have the dogs. They are so caged. I did get my big girls from them and they are great. I have learned since then and now I just go say high to the puppies and pray that they each get a safe and happy home. After all it's not their fault they are there. I also got my cat and one guinea pig from them. Our store is pretty small in our mall. My sister visits the one in Columbus and she said it's huge and you can really interact with the pets. My moms friend has a Petland in southern Ohio and she talks like it is a really nasty place. I have not been there.
