If they're fixed they have no reason to mark..if he's already lifting his leg, this may or may not stop...I asked the vet about it, as my son is having his boy neutered, the vet here said he should stop(he was only lifting his little leg over at my house)..so, we'll see, I sure hope so! |

I think you have the right idea. I do have an application that is then followed by six standard questions....some folks really open and talk which gives me some insight into them. Others answer my six or seven directed questions with one or two word answers. I try to call and talk to everyone. Several times in making the decision/s. I like it when someone can come and see my set up and maybe I can go and see there home or have someone do a home visit for me....the more information the better I feel about where I place the puppy. |

pet quality only Any one interested in a biewer girl that may be 10 pounds or over? Beautiful colors, beautiful coat. Pet quality. I keep hearing, I want a girl under 6#..... |

I'm sure even though she's going to be over 10 lbs that because she's a little girl, someone will want her. Probably someone like me who has a teapot already and wants a bigger one as a sibling :) Tara |

I am glad you brought this up! I agree that most people only want the tiny and the tinier the better. They are even willing to get one that is sick just to get that tiny one.And to top it off you hear them talking about breeders breeding for the tiny's but there are not many to go around because between byb, hobby breeder and show breeders as well as the tiny puppy mill pup they gobble them up.I say be honest.NOW with that said I DO PREFER the tiny ones also FEMALE but will take a tiny male.WHY? you ask. well because they are TINY(we are enamored with the whole tiny thing)(those of us who want tiny's).They are so adorable and well they NEED us.that is a great feeling.I am not speaking of the need in caring for any living thing,I am spaking of them needing us or they maybe won't do so well. Its a lot of responsibility but well worth it(TO SOME).I am tired of stepping around the upstuck noses of the judgemental people that will look down on you for wanting a tiny all the while rubbing their (:thumbdown tiny:eek: ) .I WANT A TINY AND I WILL HAVE ONE!!!!! now since I got that out I will also say that isn't it true that biewer yorkies were only just accepted in the AKC? and well 2-3 thousand dollars for a breed that was only accepted in the last ? years is a lot.You have to think people want to be liked and accepted and well we all know an AKC pup show worthy ness does not make.(just because you have that AKC paper does not mean your pups is any thing special) but just having it makes some feel theirs is better(or better bred). Our natural want to fit in allows for this mentality.BUT! the people like you who loves and believes in your chosen breed is why today they are where they are, along with many other breeds.I say you know what you have and when the right owner comes along they will appreciate what you have done.ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL AND THE WAIT FOR THE RIGHT OWNER IS ALL THE MORE SWEETER.!!!! |

No, this is no longer hypothethical. I know of two girls--10 weeks old--who will be teapot Biewers that are available. I know of a 6 month old biewer male that will be about 12# as an adult--still not sold. These are reasonably priced pets. As many of you know, I have a "teapot" yorkie Dayzee--who weighs 12#. She is NOT a big dog. Just big if you are looking for a "tiny". So 3 Biewers are available....reasonably priced, what should breeders be doing with these pet quality puppies?? |
Usual I purchase male dogs and female cats as does the majority of my family. Cozy is the first female dog I have ever purchased and the only female dog currently in my family. I feel in love with her. |

I have a teapot that is absolutely spoiled. I keep threatening my husband that I am going to get another dog, but I don't know how Conner will like it. He loves his friends to visit (mom's yorkie and my sister's dog), but he also likes it when they leave. He also likes mama and daddy to himself. |
I know this won't change anyone's mind but let me give my 2 cents worth on this. I have always had 'tiny' Yorkies with an adult weight of 4 pounds or so. Yes, they are adorable, easy to travel with etc...but they are also fragile and it is nerve wracking sometimes. I just got my 2 Biewer girls and they will be bigger than my boyz which is fine but having all of them in the house together has made me reconsider my thoughts on size. My girls are heavier framed than my boys and I wouldn't worry about my Grandson playing with Megan and Maddie like I would Jo and Riley, I don't worry when they run and play and crash into things or leap on top of each other. With my boyz I worry about them jumping, getting stepped on or falling off of something...I don't think I'll worry like that with the girls simply because they are sturdier. Now, my girls aren't going to be giants by any means, they should end up between 6 and 8 pounds as adults. My husband plays with the girls like he never did with the boyz because he isn't afraid of hurting them, he's really enjoying them and we're both more comfortable with their size. Yes, I love my boyz...don't get me wrong...and I will always have Yorkies but I won't choose the smaller size again. If anyone is looking for a Biewer don't let the 10 pound size scare you away...these dogs are beautiful, their colors are striking and you can't really appreciate their coat until you feel it. Good luck finding homes for those little teapots Dee...they deserve it! |

If they were "mine" for sure they would be on YT in the sale section. When I started this, the discussion was hypothetical. But it isn't anymore, because I now know of 3 larger biewers looking for homes at reasonable prices. The breeders want to find good homes, of course, and don't want to become attached to the puppies. That is why we are having this discussion--not every dog is a "tiny female". |
I have a boy and a girl. Whle I love both dearly...Buster is my heart! I would take another boy...more than one actually...I love boys!! I find that they are more affectionate and people oriented. Both female dogs I have owned always bonded with my husband. Boys are all mine:D !! |
Why am I not surprised that my emails or PMs are not over-flowing with requests for information about the reasonably priced, but possibly teapot-sized Biewers?? |

I have 2 boys and 1 girl and as much as I love my boys I wish I would have taken girls. The breeder told me to take a boy because girl wouldn't get along:eek: . These guys were fixed @ 5 months and mark and hump all over the place. Snitch is my biggest problem, He humps Snuggles if she barks, plays with her toys and if you give her attention hes trying to go at it. I know it sounds mean but if I could go back it time, I would have taken girls or maybe just stood with Snuggles only. :( . I do fine females easier to potty train as well. My snuggles is a teapot @ 16 lbs. and the boys are 10 & 8. I would love another female but with the problems the boys are giving me I cant handle anymore. |
I have always had boys as pets. They are the kinder gentler souls in my opinion. |

I hope your friend can find good homes for these babies. Just out of curiosity, what state are these Biewers in and how much is the breeder asking for them? And do you have any pictures? |
I do have a few pictures of the girls; if you email me at dee@houseofwags.com I can send them. The girls are near Baton Rouge and the boy is actually on the YT puppies for sale. I can connect anyone to the girls' if you email me. |
