well yeah, you can't tell people you only see female animals, doesn't work like that:D |
I did not get a girl to dress up, I guess my main motivation was the lifting issue. I did not realise they rarely lift when they are so small ... |

[QUOTE=lidarose;1536184]I've never heard of boys pee being stonger smelling. QUOTE] I have to admit...I can tell a difference between my boys urine and my daughter's little yorkie girls' urine.... The boys' is a deeper yellow and stains more so than the girls did....At least on my carpets...:( |

Alex there are 3# Biewers and there are 8# Biewers. Just like people. The standard is 4-7# but some are bigger and others smaller. On my website, under Meri & Tobias' pictures at 11 weeks 1 boy is 1.15#, the girl is 1.35# and the other is almost. 2 of the 3 will be small as adults. |

I have a 10 pound boy who is the love of my life. I was specifically looking for a boy. Now I would like to get a girl, but only because Conner gets along so much better with the girls. My Conner is neutered and has never marked, is potty trained outside (he has his own covered pen), and he does not share very well. |
i thought that this was an interesting topic. I want a girl next only because i have a boy and I want one of each. (not to breed all my pets will be altered) I would be just as interested in a young adult as I would a puppy. i love the smaller ones because i try not to leave my dogs home if I don't have to. It is alot harder sneaking a 12lb dog opposed to a 3lb, hehe I have tried. I think that the most important factor with my female will be temperment. Structure is also important to me, more than size. A well built yorkie looks beautiful regardless of coat, color, and size. thought that i would add my 2 cents :) |
Dressing up males is not an issue with my clients or my wife. They will dress them males up in a second and I am proud to say that are males are very secure in there masculinity. When the phone rings it is always about a female and size, but when they come to see them that changes alot. For some reason when under the spot light our males always shine. First time yorkie owners sometimes lean toword males as with seasoned yorkie owners they would like females most of the time. We also do real well with guys who are being forced to get a yorkie by there wife/girlfriend, once I show them the males and there attitudes.I myself like female yorkies in the breed due to alot of above posts. In big dogs the (lipstick) dosn't get on you as much. Yeah, get over it its life but I don't like the (lipstick) on my arm either. Now if you can't get rid of your female Biewers I would say there is the factor that people are wanting the $/breeding and the real small females are not good for this. There are only a small amount of people who will pay big $ for a dog with no return. This is my opinion only! Sean |
Why should be the one???? I have 50 folks inquiring for every female biewer. This is just a hypothethical discussion. That is why it is here and not in the breeder section. Maybe the question I should be asking: I have one female biewer. Why should "you" be the one I sell to? Probably should start a new thread.....but we'll see if I get any response to this. |
Because it's me..:D |
Oh my. |

I guess that's one way of figuring it out, dogs are great judges of character. |

I believe I am an excellent pet owner because my dad said that when he comes back to earth, he wants to come back as my dog!!!! |
When I got my first yorkie I wanted a girl and I'll admit that a big reason was the cute clothes. I'm a girly girl and I wanted a little girl drenched in pink. Now, having a girl and two boys, of course I love them all but I much prefer the boys. IMO boys are by far the sweeter affectionate sex. Mine do not lift their legs and I've certainly never noticed that their urine was any different than Gracie's. I do love the little girl's smooth bellies but I would take a little boy any day. |

LOL, sorry Dee, this thread was so long I just skimmed it and missed the question you were trying to ask. |
Thats ok Nikki. I liked Pea496's answer, a lot. I think this is a good discussion. Lot of interesting discussion. I find it hard sometimes to say this is the person.....sometimes it seems so obvious. |
