| A little about me ,,Levi and Laci.. Hello everyone. I am new to yorkie talk and new to yorkie ownership but not new to the breed. I own and operate a dog grooming bussiness in Alabama and have always adored yorkies till one day a lady brought in her little 4 yr old male and at that time I absolutely feel head over heals for the yorkie breed. i bought a male whose now 8 monthes old and his name is Levi, hes my heart, I also just two days ago decided when I saw in the paper a female older yorkie for sale after weeks of not being sold I decided to go look at her, like I needed another one right,,,, any how I say i rescued her but I actually bought her, it was truely a rescue though. When she came to me 4 hours from my home in the condition she was in I knew she was not going back to where she came from. I was told by the man that he runs a USDA kennel and that all his dogs had to be shaved ,well she was,,,,, and not only was she shaved she was starving shaking and sad, I held her little two year old body in my hands and felt every rib and bone she had inside of her, well that did it she was now mine, when I arrived home I weighed her and she was only 2 .12 pounds. She slept alot and was very frightened when we drove home. Her eye was matted all up and I stopped and bought her some food she wolfed it down, she slept that night calmly in my arms as levi watched silently like he knew her history,,, well shes gained 4 ounces since I got her home shes no longer hanging her head down and she once had no name just what ever they called her even though she had a registared name she did not know it, now shes my little Laci. And she knowes shes found a home, no more cages and no more fighting for food or attention. levi even shows her around and I am sure he told her how wonderful it was here with me because she seems to be opening up very fast. As for Levi hes been here as long as he can remember good food and lots of love all 2.13 pounds of him.. Well I just wanted to share with you the story of my Laci and how she came to be with me and Levi. We have an appointment at the vet tommorow to get her checked out and her eye looked at even though the vet doesnt know it yet we will have an appointment...Thanks for listening.. |

| Welcome to YT. Rescues can be the sweetest dogs. It's like they never forget the past and always show how much they appreciate the good life they have now. Laci is lucky you found her although I'm sure you feel it's the other way around.

| Welcome to YT - we are so glad you are here. Thank you for sharing your story & thank you for saving Laci. I will say a prayer for her eye and her health. Be sure to let us know what the vet said. What a sweet boy Levi must be - opening up his home to this needy girl.

| Oh, that made me cry I am SO glad that Laci is with you now I just don't understand how anyone could treat a living breathing creature so horribly. I hope there is a special place in H*ll for those folks! Thank you for saving her!
