| transition suggestions I should really be in bed, yet i'm wired LOL My new baby comes home tomorrow!!!!! I do have other dogs, and I have learned how to transition a new puppy into our home but I feel like Bella is a different circumstance and want to make sure I approach this correctly. When Bella isn't being held by me or having supervised free play she spends time in an ex pen. We have had one set up in our kitchen, it contains her pee pad, bed food and water. I just set up a second one in our bedroom because its getting to cold at night in the kitchen so I want her upstairs where it is warm. That one also contains a pee pad, food water and a bed. (toys of course in both too). Eventually I want to have the both together 24/7.. whether its in an expen or playing freely.. being held.. whatever. I realize this isn't something I want to do off the get go though (I think) I want to make sure they are getting along well first. Right? Should I crate the little one at night and keep them in seperate expens when needed? Please any and all suggestions are appreciated

| Well first of all, YAY about bringing home your new baby tomorrow! I can't wait to see pics! What I've always done when I bring a new baby home is set up a crate or xpen in my bedroom for the first week where they sleep at night, then I transition them into sleeping together. During the day I allow them supervised play also Good luck! |

| So would you put the crate with the new one in the expen with the other dog.. so they are together yet seperated at night? Or just next to it?
