| Wolfie came home.... I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who supported my choice in bringing home my baby on friday... He is 6 weeks, and I know that bothered some folks, but he is healthy and happy. He came home and played and ate and slept til 5:30 this morning with no accidents. He is smart and funny. He has had his first set of shots and today was rechecked by my vet as a precaution. He weighs 2.2 pounds. and Healthy as a horse. Thanks to all of those concerned.... |

| I so wish I could take back getting Lilly at that age. I see so many things that would've most likely been better if she had stayed for a little longer with her littermates and mom. Oh well, congrats though!

| Thanks for your concern but he was alone. He needed a family. His mommy didnt have anything to do with him anymore and his sister was gone... Besides I talked to several breeders, vets, and lots of friends who also own yorkies and they all brought theirs home at 6 weeks or let them go home at 6 weeks... The only people who have had a problem with it are the people on this website. So I wont be posting anything else on here for all the critism and negativity that this site puts out..... It's not worth it. My baby did not come from a major breeder which is a bad idea from what I have heard, learned and read.... They dont give special and close attention to their babies like private breeders do. I feel very fortunate to have all the love and support of the vets, friends and family that I have.. At almost 2 1/2 pounds he already just about out weighs his own daddy. His blood work and tests have all come back fantastic and I take very good care of him.... |

| I agree People do get aggressive on sites like this... and no one has the right to tell you what to do... but (and I dont know if you did) if you ask their opinion.... all holds barred. Ignore the bad there is a lot of good on here. It is up to the individual pups. I have had some (especially that big) ready to go at 6-8 weeks. I have a 5mo old 1lbs baby now that I wouldn't have parted w/ til now. Plus ... longer w/ the breeder w/o playmates is really bad for the pup... and harder on the mom... All that said...most of mine need to be w/ the moms til 8wk.... and w/ me until 12 so I know they are great healthy dogs! |

| It's good to hear your new furbaby is adjusting and healthy. Be incouraged that you made the right decision about getting him. Now all the fun times begin. You'll get a lot of positive information about your baby on yt. The not so positive I would not take personally. Have fun |

| I'm glad I got my first one at 6 weeks, she never chewed my fingers, like a lot of them that are around their littermates do..Heck, the one I have now(the new one), I got at 11 weeks, she chews my fingers, when her brother comes over she attacks him..I'm glad he's doing good..he's going to be a big boy hon..Ginger at 12 weeks was 2 lbs. 6 oz and to me she looks big.. The way he's growing, he may be the size of my first one..14 lbs... |

| We brought Roxy home at 6 weeks - the same day she got her first set of shots and everything went perfect. We were in the process of packing up to move 700 miles away and made the trip with her at 6 1/2 weeks old. I wouldn't have changed a thing. Remi was 8 weeks old and, again, absolutely no problems. Maybe we were just lucky, but I'm glad we did it that way . Congrats and post pics so we can watch him grow.

| Welcome to YT, and congrats on your new baby. This site has sooo much to offer. When and before I got my 1st baby I did a lot of reading on the 'net. But once I came across YT I have never looked anywhere else! |

| Sandy, I did the same thing, except didn't move, I got mine at 6 weeks and then 2 weeks later, drove 850 miles up to ILL to go visit my mom..took her and the maltese that was 3 mos. older with me..they did great! Most every vet I've spoken too, said even a yorkie, as long as it's healthy can be taken at 6 weeks. My oldest one has always been easy to train with pee pads, no biting, etc... |
