I always worry about this, even crows....Are CROWS dangerous??

I have posted this before......a great horned owl got my cat.......which was bigger than Lillybelle

oh my goodness!! what happened to the poor cat? I just never thought about birds of prey killing dogs before...maybe because where i live in the south of england its not really a danger here. It sends a chill up my spine just thinking about it.

Brings me to an experience Bella and I had with a hawk. I was walking Bella across the park towards my boyfriend. He kept pointing his finger up and yelling something I couldn't hear cause he was at a distant. Guess what he was trying to tell me? A hawk was following us and flying lower and lower towards Bella. I take it he wanted to have yorkie dinner that night errrrrr

Thanks for all the heads up.I have to Stay up on the deck and watch helplessly if I send her out as I am in a cast and crutches,and I just cannot get down the stairs. My DH or DS is home at times to let her out and watch her.Can't wait til I get this off and can protect her better.

Hawks and Owls are predatory birds of prey. I should know.

Last year, I had a beautiful little Yorkie named Tigger. He was battling kidney disease, and was extremely frail. I had nursed him, held him, loved him, hoping he would improve. We have a very secluded dog run on the side of our house. My babies only go in there to go potty, otherwise they are always inside. Tigger was snatched by a hawk in the few seconds it took for him to go outside to pee. The memory of this still haunts me, that he fought to hard to live, and that his life ended in such a brutal, unthinkable manner. Our dog run now has a permanent cover built over it - too late for my boy

, but it still protects my precious girls.

So yes, take any and all precautions to protect your baby.

Please dont let her be out unattended in the yard. The owl could swoop down and get your yorkie, just like a coyote or hawk or other predators!
