| Thinking About Getting A 3rd Dog - Need Your Advice! Hi Everyone! As most of you know, I have 2 dogs: 1 maltese Maltese named Codie, and 1 female Yorkie named Katie. I have been thinking about getting a third dog for a long time but I can't make up my mind. If I get a third dog, I would like another tiny female Yorkie like my Katie girl. Are 3 dogs a lot of work? For me, 2 dogs really are not a lot of work at all. I am just worried about spoiling the love my 2 dogs have for each other. They are really a bonded pair - always kissing and cuddling together w/ my hubby and me on the couch. I don't want to ruin a good thing by getting another dog and causing my dog's to feel left out or anything like that. What should I do? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

| Considering I have 5 dogs, I would have to say go for it. All my dogs get along great and they all get lots and lots of love. I never have regretted getting any of my dogs. Some people think I am crazy, but I just love them all to death. If I lived out of town and had more room, I would get more. The more the merrier. Joan |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I JUST recently asked a similar question - and I say too - If you can AFFORD it and want to - go for it...My situation is such that the $$$ and other issues were causing my to wonder if it's a good idea - and the idea of 3 wasn't the problem - I HAVE 3 dogs - I LOVE having 3 and would love another yorkie...but am still debating in my head. When you have 3.....If (knock on wood) something ever were to happen to 1....there is still 2 to give each other comfort - We've always had 3 dogs in the house for that reason. Good luck - it's a big decision. |

| Sounds great to me! I have a yorkie and a maltese too and I wonder about getting a third for the following reason. Gracie and Sampson fight with eachother and sometimes it gets pretty intensed. I had them both at a friends house and she has a 6 month old pekinese and the three of them played together beautifully, no fighting at all. I wonder if adding another baby to my crew would help or hinder. For those of you who have two, do they fight? I am not talking about trying to kill eachother, but they can get pretty rowdy...
