| They're both cute. Gracie looks so much like Lola did at the same age. I'm sure Natalie will love having a sister to play with, so will Gracie. Oh, did you decide on a name or are you keeping her Gracie?

Well, we had an uneventful night so that was good.... Natalie still doesn't know what to think of Gracie - but isn't really the least bit interested... LOL I know there is thread after thread after thread regarding the size controversy, and hopefully no one will take this the wrong way.... but.... I am a little concerned about the size issue.... My whole reason for bringing Gracie home, was to give Natalie some canine companionship...... and just like with her sister Cecilia, I think Gracie is just going to be "too big" to fill that spot with Nat!! When I first started showing interest in Gracie, Sandy posted that she was 20 weeks old and 1.8 lbs.... PEFECT - - it was re: that post, that I contacted Sandy about her..... I was then told that Gracie was 2.4 lbs at 21 weeks old.... and now at 23 weeks - Monday's vet visit shows 2.8 lbs - - and my own scale this morning (just a mail scale, so is probably off - although it's what I use to weigh Nat and Cessy ... so who knows... ) shows her at just under 3.5 lbs....... (Cessy weighed in this morning at 3.2 lbs by my scale - and Nat at 23 ounces) - - Don't get me wrong.... Gracie is a beautiful, healthy, perfect little girl.... and I love her to pieces already...... and I certainly am the LAST person in the world to have "hang-ups" about wanting a tiny.... but Gracie will likely be a 4.5 - 5 lb baby... which is the IDEAL size !!! - - but I just don't think she is the one for Natalie - who will never make it to 2 lbs .... there's just too huge a size difference..... I feel bad for Nat..... but Cessy certainly has a new best friend!!! The two of them just ADORE each other already!!! And Gracie has taken VERY nicely to the 3 year old Pitbull, Alley.... I knew she would, seeing as how she has a Great Dane sibling at Sandy's house!!! So, all's well - - - we'll be dropping by the vet today just to give Gracie a quick look over - and then it's on to figuring out some kind of routine!! I think little Natalie is just destined to referee her furfaced siblings romps from the safety of her own playpen....  Just too many dangers for a little bitty girl.... maybe one of these days, a sister will come along who Natalie can closely bond to... but till then - the rest of the gang is still having lots of fun!!
