| Thinking about buy a new water bowl I am just wondering if I should change my water bowl. I am starting to think if I should buy a new one. Sherlock has had the same one since we moved into our house three years ago. As you all know that I am get a new pup and I am very worry about the water bowl situation. I am afraid that Sherlock might being mean if the new fur baby tries to drink from it. I am considering buy a new larger bowl and place it in a new place. In hopes that it will be shared bowl. Has anyone had this problem before? |

| Considering Sherlock would be the alpha of the two and your second baby the omega; Some puppies really do not like to share. My niece had Dior for three months and then brought another yorkie. Dior doesn't like to share. Personality factors in also. |

| Loki loves water and he shares no problem with Sammy. They have huge bowls. You'll need a bigger bowl since 2 of them will be sharing. We tried having 2 bowls so they didn't have to share and they just both drank out of both bowls. We already have 1 bowl downstairs and 2 upstairs, so they just share all of the bowls. Sam had no idea that hers was pink and Loki's was blue. They are just bowls to them.

| I would try to go with one bowl to start out and only bring in a second one if you run into a problem.

| It's not the same as the food bowl....my three have their own food bowls, but all share the water bowl without problems....even my cats drink from it ! Considering I got Tara 3.5years before Casper, and him 2years before Tammy came, the water bowl was never an issue. They are happy to take turns and wait until the other has finished. Tara is the only one who lifts the heavy pottery bowl and takes it to me when it's empty though ! She is tiny and 4lbs, but lifts it as she likes a full bowl ! Hopefully Sherlock won't be possesive about only just water....a new bowl wouldn't do any harm though. Good Luck Debra x x x |
