| first barks I feel I am always posting silly questions. Anyway, our Kirby who is 6 months rarely wimpers and has only barked about 3 times since coming to us. Once when he was frightened by a loud sound. ANd two times as if he were a watch dog. When do they begin to bark more?? I dont want to encourage it. HE seems very happy and playful and i dont want to discourage that.

| How old is your baby. Rockie is 6 months and has been barking since he was 4 months, its non stop now My niece has a 5 month boy and he hardly ever barks. I think it just depends on their personality. They bark when they want too |

| Lucy isn't a barker at 8 months. Only if there is a reason. I've made sure not to encourage it.

| Jake is 16 mos. old and doesn't bark much, only if there's a reason. I never encouraged it, but it was never a problem. Jackson barks quite a bit at almost 12 weeks, so we're working on that.

| slade started barking a few wks after I got him, and he loves to just bark to hear himself talk. I had a Bichon that would only bark if someone knocked on the door. some dogs jsut aren't barkers.

| Riley started trying to bark the first week we got him. He was 12 weeks old then. Now hes not a barker, unless hes playing. Its so cute when we will growl at him and he barks back. |

| Lewis is a year old, and never barks. He only has made a slight bark sound once or twice. He makes this growling noise when he is playing, it is so cute I am happy he is not a "talker" seeing as how I have two other vocal ones in the house I did ask the vet about him not barking, and she said he is fine. I am not sure, but I think he just figures the other two will do his talkin for him |
