| awww I hope he doesn't get cold this winter. We cut Jake's hair over the summer, but we're letting it grow and just keeping it trimmed in the winter. Yorkies get cold so easily, they have no undercoat. I hope you put a sweater or jacket on him when you take him out. As for the mess, it sounds like he's not being taken out enough. Maybe he would do better if he was kept in an expen or gated in a room with potty pads. I use potty pads in a doggy litter box, and my 11-week-old has no problem. He has accidents, but not very many. I think you need to be more patient with your little guy. He's still getting used to his new environment, plus it's harder when they come into a home where there's already another dog. My Jake didn't like Jackson much at first, but they have become friends. Jackson sees Jake use the litter box, and he always wants to do what Jake does. You just have to have patience and watch them closely. I had no problem training Jake and now Jackson is doing really well too. Please just be more patient with him!
