| ![]() I worry about all those things too! We had to take Zeus to the vet last Friday for his 2 weeks check up from his episode with pancreatitis and I managed to rack up another $80 bill. I wanted them to check this, then that! My husband says I am way too over protective, but when it comes to Zeus, I just don't feel I can be too careful! So, don't feel bad, I think we just love them so much we want to protect them from the world!!

| ![]() It's perfectly natural to 'freak out' a little when something awful happens. These dogs are like children to us and whenever parents hear about something bad happening to another child they always get a little more protective and think about what could happen to their own. It's a good thing, it makes people more aware and alert, as long as it doesn't go to far and you lose the time you have with your baby because you are too busy worrying about your baby. Be careful, take precautions but enjoy your baby and don't spend your precious time worrying about all the things that could happen, because things do happen, we saw that this weekend - and all the worrying in the world will not stop life from continuing on. Peace to all who mourn, and comfort to those that cry. Windy and Lida Rose |

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | ![]() I too have been very watchful of our girls the last couple of days...if they are out of sight for longer than a minute I or someone is up looking/checking on them...I think that all the horror stories make us more aware and better parents but at the same time, you don't want to baby them to much or they will never learn to be independent...I am working on teaching them commands that will keep them safe and making sure that their toys are safe, everything I can to keep them safe from harm but I know that I cannot stop God's will!!! I would say it is okay to freak out but also take comfort in your little's ability to protect itself...
