Puppy name feedback... Hi all, My puppy is coming home on Halloween (yay) and I'm not settled on a name. I'd like a name that is pretty, unusual but not totally unheard of. My kids want to name her Princess Pipsqueak (Pippa, Pippi, Pips, the nicknames are endless!) But I'm really liking the name Matilda... with my close second choice being Sophia. Any opinions? Jenn

I'd make a short list, and when you finally get her you will know which name was meant for her.

I like Matilda..but agree you should keep the list and spend some time with her at home....Elphaba was home only 6 hours when the right name on the list popped out. And I couldn't imagine her as anything but Elphaba now that she's been home 5 weeks.

| I love Matilda! That was on my short list, but I went with Madeleine. I also had Sophia on my list too!

Thanks for all the feedback...Matilda is really my favorite, but I have not gotten a lot of positive reaction to it from my family... But this is my puppy that I've wanted for a long time (20+ years!) so I'm going to hold out for my perfect name! Funny thing is that the same thing happened with naming my daughter... No one liked the name that I KNEW was the perfect name for her, but I stuck to my guns and named her Georgia and have never regretted it. And everyone now says it's perfect for her... Jenn
