$250.00 is the largest size roll which you cut into many different pads. You can also buy them individually for as little as $25 for a 24" x 24" pad. Since they are washable, they can be used over and over again. They really are great to use under pee pads as they absorb everything. |

A few of you have mentioned that you use one of the washable pads that I sell with a smaller pad on top. I am so glad that it is working for you and thank you for your kind words. When my son's wedding is over and I have more time to sew I will be offering them again. As an alternative and a cheaper price than the pish pads (and even cheaper than the pads I re-cover) I would like to offer you an alternative pad. I have some pads that I have reclaimed that I have been wondering what to do with. They are very similar to the ones that I re-cover, but not quite as thick and not as bulky. The tops are in pretty good shape (white) some show a little wear, but not bad. The back is showing lots of wear. There are actually four layers. There is the quilted top, the soaker fill, the waterproof layer, and then the backing on the waterproof layer. It is the backing on the waterproof layer that is worn. They are still waterproof, but the covering of the waterproof layer (on the back) doesn't look very pretty as it has worn through in many places. I had considered recovering the backs and the fronts, but think that will be too much work and to expensive for the price I would sell them for. So if you are interested in function rather than looks I will sell them as is (not too worn white front and a very worn looking back), but still waterproof and perfectly functional. I will sell them to you for $6 each plus shipping! That is a real bargain! They are really quite large approximately 32 inches x 29 inches each. They work well just as they are for washable potty pads (that's how I use them) or you could use them under another smaller pad or under your litter pan for those edge pee-ers. I even use them under my water dishes just to catch the spills that overflow the tray. I will be selling only 10 right now just as a test market. If you buy them please let me know what you think. It will be first come first serve. Here are links to pictures: http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u...7;20IS%20PADS/ |
This thread was a jinx You know, I was so mad at this thread because although Coby did the front-feet-on-the-pad-only thing, it wasn't all that often. UNTIL this thread. He's done it at least 4 times in the last day and a half!! I just couldn't believe it. I thought it had to be the thread's fault. ;) (I don't mean to sound like a commercial but) ...the funny thing is that while standing with only 2 feet on one of Little Bit's washable pads, I'll be darned if all but one time, did he just get it to the edge of the pad just enough that it soaked in (because the washable ones are absorbant all the way to the edge). Only one time, I had to clean up half the puddle. My husband also prefers the "throw rug" look to paper pads or litter boxes. I'm so glad I didn't have sons!! :D :D |
I'm so glad I found this thread. My Bandit uses pee pads and sometimes misses too. Drives my hubby crazy. Sometimes, he's right in the middle others just off the pad. He thinks he's a good dog when he does it too. He wags his tail and things he's getting a treat because he put 2 paws on the pad. Sorry puppy, a treat requires all 4 paws. |

Try washing pee pee with a solution of 50% white vinegar and 50% water. Vinegar cuts the urine, chemically safe. Don't use ammonia because that attracts them back to their spot rapidly. When Sophie was ill, I used 29” x 36” pads for incontinence sold at local stores. They are absorbent, large and not as costly as pet pads. Guess what? Soon all of this will go away, they will be trained. Warmly, Deborah |

I forgot to mention that I put down a cheap vinyl shower curtain liner under the newspapers and pee pads. Prevents those misses from getting to the carpet! |
I splurged and got this thing called a "Wiz Dog". (I think that's the name.) It worked really well for about a year, but the grating cracked. We glued it a couple of times and I do still use it. |
