I am going to give this a try. Ava is THE worst beggar!! Also, she has a problem with getting ON TOP of the table. Anyone else have this problem?? If we do not clear the table ASAP when we are finished eating, then she is right up there. Also when my kids will have lunch or a snack, and walk away for 2 seconds from it...she is up getting it. She has tried many times to haul off with turkey sandwiches!!! Sometimes we will just come downstairs and she will be walking on the table, even when there is no food around. I am going to try this bowl thing...hopefully this will work!! :) |

I'm so glad I could help ya out! Now you can live a bark free life LOL |
Barkers! I say the water does not work.they will continue to test you,but with loud noises it works lik a charm.I use a plastic bag with pop cans and carry it with me through the house:D all is quiet here.the bowl and spoon is a great idea also but it seems the loud noise is the key.goodluck to all trying.I have a feeling you won't be looking for a solution any longer. |
Any suggestions on how to get my Handsome to stop biting I know that he is only playing but I am afraid that he may bite one of the kids? This is my first dog I just got him on Friday he's only 12 weeks old. Anybody ever tried obedience class? |

When he starts this behavior, you need to nip it in the bud, you have to make sure you are the one in control. When he bites, try the bowl trick. |
Do you think the bowl would work for the biting/nipping? |

My baby is only 14.5 weeks but I have tried this with other dogs as well and it has always worked for me. Whenever the start to play with you and bite no matter how lightly, I say "ouch" but in a very high pitched voice so it almost sounds like a yelp. My baby tried a few times and now doesn't at all. I think it's important that you teach them that they never should put there mouth on you kindof like you teach your kids never to hit anyone even when they are 2 years old and can't really hurt anyone. |
Will be giving that a try:thumbup: . Dior begs like she has never been fed, and she has never been table fed. |
We dosome thing kinda like the you. My big dog was always in the way wen I was in the kitchen and I was tripping over her. I started grabing the kitchen towel and snaping it in the air and told her to get. Aft two times I'll I have to do is say do I need to get the towel? And off she goes. I like the bowl Idea too:D |
