SHOCKED at what Buddy just did!!!!

He POOPED on our brand new sofa (sofa is two weeks old)!!!!!!!!

Buddy has been completely housetrained for a couple of months. If he has ever had an accident he does it directly by the backdoor and I never fuss because I know he was trying to get outside. Even when he was a baby he NEVER pooped on furniture. Why would he do such a thing? I am in shock!!! Its not like he had not been outside this morning....he has already been out twice. (he pooped outside too) What do I do? I want him to know that this is completely unacceptable!! Right now I have him gated in the mudroom (this is where his food & crate are kept). He is use to roaming the house so he is crying right now. What do I do? I hate feeling this way...I am so mad at him but I feel like this has to be my fault. What did I do wrong? Please help!!!

Maybe he is marking the new sofa with his scent or he does't like the new sofa.

Ignore him for a few minutes. Don't make it too long because time dosen't matter anyhow. As long as he knows he is being punished by being there for what he has done. I can only guess he was making it his! I find it hard
to believe he dosen't like it.

I know how upset you are I've been there too.
It should not happen again.

We have actually had the sofa for about 3 1/2 weeks and he seems to love it. The sofa is his "spot"...that is where he naps and he puts all his toys up there. The sofa is where he spends all his time. Just can't figure out why he would poop on it!!!

Wouldn't it be nice if they could talk to us sometimes and explain??

They do these inexplicable things and you just know they had a "reason" for it!! I dunno why he would poop there, especially since he considers it his

If he gets around to telling you why....lets us know!!

My Carley is a pretty straight forward little gal, no guesswork with her, but Cooper....geez, I wish I could see into that little mind of his!!

We just got new furniture and Rocco marked it

, luckily it is leather.

Yes, I wish I could read his mind!!! But since I can't, I'll just go take out my frustrations on my Pogo badges of the week.
