| Is anyone else's dog agitated at night?? HELP Zoie is going crazy (actually she has all day). She wants in, she wants out, she bites at the door when I open and close it, then she wants in, then she wants out, I'm worn out. I gave her a time out in her crate upstairs and she went to sleep. I let her out and this afternoon and evening she's standing at the back door and barking, we let her out, she goes out and eventually wants back in only to bark!!! We put the kids in bed, so then she went upstairs to bark in their bathroom.......... The training we have done isn't helping with this....the week at the kennel really has done her and us in. She's just agitated, but I don't know why. Usually she'll lay down next to me at night, she won't even lay down now. |

| It sounds like she just needs to be worn out or distracted. Try a puzzle toy and a trip to doggie daycare. Can you crate her for a short period of time for a "time-out"? What kind of training are you doing? Why did she spend a week at the kennel? Were you out of town? Maybe she is just re-adjusting. Loki gets crazy when he is bored or stir-crazy. I know it's cold out, but can you even try a trip to the pet store or something fun to wear her out?

| If you boarded her because you had gone out of town, I agree she could of developed some bad habits from that stay. I know I have to have Millie re-adjust when she gets back from a stay at the kennel. (mostly with Millie it's aggressive or assertiveness) If you are exercising her, already, as recommned by Erin, then I would take control and not let her out so frequently and certainly not reward her with your attention (negative or positive) when she does her barking stuff. I know it will be extremely annoying, ignoring her, but really it's the best way to get their attention. Only talk to her or treat her when she is quiet.

| Yes, she was boarded because we went out of town. I'm not currently exercising her as their is 2 inches of ice everywhere. I fall down just trying to get to the mailbox!!! I'm sure it's that she's readjusting, but it's ridiculous the way she acts. I do give her time-outs in her crate sometimes, but I don't want her crate to be her "bad" place cause she sleeps there at night. |

| Do you have doggie daycare? I send Loki once a week and he comes home and sleeps for days.
